Terroir: A local terroir in the image of our diversity: At the pedology level, the sandy, light soils bring suppleness and finesse to the blend, while the stony soils, essentially clay-limestone, bring structure and the depth.
Climate: The hills, well exposed, benefit from the generosity of the sun and the benefits of the Mistral. Our grape varieties benefit from ideal sunshine.
Vinification and aging: For our reds, we are looking for gourmet and fresh wines, on a soft tannic base. We work in traditional vinification, with bi-daily tasting of the vats, which allows us to control the extraction of the structure. Maceration under marc for 2 to 4 weeks depending on the cuvées, in order to work on the fat, the smoothness and the melted tannins. Aging on fine lees in order to preserve the aromas and promote fat acquisition and coating of the tannins.
Tasting:
- Appearance: A beautiful ruby-colored robe.
- The nose: Pretty notes of black fruits, blackcurrant, slightly spicy.
- The palate: is round and balanced, a pleasurable wine.
Food and wine pairings: Grilled meats or poultry served in cream sauce, aged goat cheese, St Marcellin… True to the friendly image of the Côtes du Rhône, this is the wine that can be shared in all circumstances. It can accompany a picnic with friends as well as a more refined cuisine.
Aging: Can be enjoyed from 2021 on the fruit, but can also wait 1 to 3 years.
