Vaison la Romaine 2016
Nice purple colour with a fine intensity..
The Grenache gives to this wine an explosive nose, with aromas of ripe red berries, whereas Syrah brings spices aromas.
The mouth is generous and full bodied. Long-lasted tastes on the palate whilst conserving certain freshness.
Match with food:
To be served between 14 to 16°.
Ideal on roasted red meats, poultry in cream, or a nice assortment of cheeses.
Pleasant to drink even young, within 2 to 4 years.
60% Syrah – 40% Grenache
Vines planted on the hillside, on the Northern part of Vaison La Romaine, at an altitude of 250 to 300 meters. Mainly sandstone and pebbles. Parcellar selections followed by rigorous selection at the cellar. The date of harvest is chosen by our wine maker when optimum ripeness has been reached. (around september 25th).
About 10 of our winegrowers are involved in the new appellation.
